Nadia Mertens is 50 years old and lives in Metscheed.

She took her first steps into abstract painting five years ago. Her initial inspiration came from geometric shapes found in nature, which led her to explore aluminium as a sculptural material, incorporating it into her paintings through collage techniques.

After beginning as a self-taught artist, she diversified her techniques through courses with artists Lenka Seva, Séverine Mertens and Pelin Agin.

She further refined her techniques through various approaches during two private courses with Uta Heiland, a student of Robert Schüler, who studied under Gerhard Richter.

Her paintings have so far been presented in three private exhibitions in Luxembourg. Ten of her works are held in private collections in Nice, Norway and Luxembourg.
