For many years, due to family circumstances, I was largely self-taught and, throughout my adult life, attended various courses in the field of art.

From 2004 to 2016, I worked as the head of an art studio at a facility for people with disabilities in Luxembourg. In this role, I also worked with various Luxembourg artists, which allowed me to develop my knowledge and skills in the field of art.

Since 2012, I have been attending the private painting school of Izabela Butroni in Sandweiler/Mettlach.

My personal experiences, both past and present, are an important part of my work. What moves me and what I experience finds its way into my paintings.

In my current artistic work, the colour black often plays an important role. I am fascinated by how vibrant and luminous life can emerge against a black background. Nature often inspires me with the wonderful colours it offers.

Animals also frequently play an important role in my paintings. In their eyes, I see the love that exists in the world, even when it may seem to have disappeared. They touch me on a very deep level.

For me, art has the ability to transform what is considered “ugly” into something beautiful, and I love showing that beauty.
